We reserve the right to disclose personal information when we believe that doing so is reasonably necessary to comply with the law or law enforcement, to prevent fraud or abuse, or to protect Lifester's legal rights.

3. Information That Is Private But Shared

When you create a Lifester Project as a user, you will be making information available to certain Project Members you invite, and also to those Project Members they invite, unless you specifically launch the Project as a Closed Project, restricting the members only to the original Project Members that you invite. This information mostly has to do with the life insurance product or strategy that is the subject of the Project, and should not contain detailed personal information. For example, you should never include your Social Security Number or copies of health records. You should be aware, that you may very well be sharing:

  • any information you provided on the Project forms;
  • any videos or photos you uploaded;
  • any personal or auto-biographical information you decided to share;
  • any special instructions or contact information that might include an address;
  • Comments to or from you on the Comments tab;
  • Suggestions to or from you on the Suggestions tab;
  • "Likes" on Comments or Updates; and
  • answers to questions you provided on the FAQ.

You should also be aware that your assigned life insurance agent and any co-agent or supporting life insurance organization invited by your assigned agent (Lifester Group) will have access to this information as well.

Lifester will protect this information as we protect all Private information. For example, we will not share with third-party services except as necessary to perform Lifester services. However, Lifester cannot protect you from what other invited Project Members do with your information. So, it is advised to use caution both in terms of whom you invite to join a Project and also the nature of the information you share.

In addition, we may share non-personally identifiable information publicly and with our partners – like publishers, advertisers or connected sites. For example, we may share information publicly to show trends about the general use of our services.

If Lifester is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, we will continue to ensure the confidentiality of any personal information and give affected users notice before personal information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Project Summary Information

When you create a Lifester Project as a user, most information is shared only with invited Project Members. However, the following basic information is used to create a summary capsule of your Projects that may be viewed in private or community galleries, depending on your membership type and options you choose:

  • public image from gallery;
  • public title;
  • project objective;
  • short description;
  • number of members joined;
  • number of comments; and
  • number of days to close.

None of the above should include your name, your phone number, your address or any other information that might associate the project with you or otherwise give away your identity. Project Capsules appearing on the home page are sample Projects only.

If you are a life insurance agent and have created a Producer Profile in the Producer Directory, your profile information will be accessible to all users who have an account, including all Consumers who sign up for a free account. Users must first log in before they can access the Producer Directory.
